TimeDateLive publishes time, travel and cost-of-living information for remote workers across more than 500 cities. This page explains how that content is produced.
Almost everything on TimeDateLive is data-first. Live values — local time, weather, air quality and exchange rates — are pulled directly from the API providers listed on our data sources page and are never hand-edited. Written sections are drafted from that same structured data by the TimeDateLive Editorial Team, using consistent templates so that every city is described by the same measurable criteria: cost, internet, safety, walkability, climate and air quality.
City scores (out of 5) combine public data and recurring community feedback. They are comparative, not absolute — a 4.6 for internet means the city ranks near the top of the 500 we track.
Some pages contain affiliate links, always marked with the sponsored attribute and disclosed on our affiliate disclosure page. Partners never influence scores or rankings.
